How Would They Say When Moms are Jealous?

My partner says to his friends that I am jealous of him. But when they say it to me, I just laughed for I don't even think that I am.

I just text him every time his out, where he is, what he's doing, whom is he with and what time he'll be home. Those are just my questions and was that an act of jealousy already?

But the fact is, when I am out, I tell him everything I used to asked him without even him questioning me. So I thought everything was okey. Suddenly, when I had just arrived at a place where I should be enjoying, he merely is texting and asking me of what I just had answered him earlier. He checks me every minute and then. My focused, three-fourths at him, one-fourth at what just I am doing.

So, who is jealous? Are your hubbies or life-partners like that also? Please share, I also wanted to know and understand your situation. :)

I would like also to share this article about how to deal with jealousy, just visit this site.

Just listen....

Personal Injury Solicitor

Mom's usually don't have a personal injury solicitor or as what I understand is a medical assistance especially in countries that are not quite economically stable. But what I realize is that we should consider also having it. Why? We, don't really hold everything in our hands.

What if one day, accidents happen? Where to ask for help? That is if help is always available. What to do? That is if you don't go panic. Have we ever realized how important having a medical assistance of our own? Because I think, if a mom could take good care of her family should also take good extra care for her own.

Moms:The Busiest Person

When i go to bed late at night, I still don't go to sleep fast for the reason of millions that I had in my mind. It's 11:40pm and still awake. I was thinking what's gonna happen with me a year after, or just in a month's time? What are my to-do-tasks in the office? What are the things I have to do for tomorrow? What does my son feels when I am not beside him? After a day of doing household chores, I still think what's the next thing to do.

Can you imagine? Still planning and thinking when in fact its the time for us to get relax and feel the comfort of our beds. But that's just moms, we still don't rest when in fact we are in rest. That's what really moms are, superwoman.

Here's a poem taken from an unknown author.

Home-based Income Opportunities for Mom

As of today, life is quite expensive. Almost everything has its value. So we moms finds jobs to add to our home income yet thinking also to still take good care of our family at the same time.

I started searching for home jobs through internet and I found a lot. Mostly of them are easy jobs yet with very less income. As a desperate mom, I did try but at the end I realize that its not helping me anymore. But I did not loose hope for I know that there are a lot of opportunity in the internet.

So, one day, still searching for home jobs, with the good grace of our Lord God, I found one. And that Blogging.

I found it at last. But not the easy way to learn and earn. My blog coach Piaps said that if you want to earn then learn. There are a lot of home jobs available in the internet with a much higher payment yet you should have the skills to get the job.

So where? How? Is there a fee? Here are the answers: Where? Mom's Diaries. Of course, advertising my own site :). How? Read my posts or view adverts on both sides. Is there a fee? Not at all, viewing or visiting my site is enough.

I know it may not the way I thought of it but all I just wanted is to share also my blessings, and gave back. Let's just imagine of how the author of the most popular social networking sites earns? Billions. As what my blog coach said: Blogging may not make u a millionaire but it'll help you live life. So why not invest on blogging when all you do is being online without profits? I strongly advise everyone to try this.

Primary Complex: Disease Our Children Fights

The reason behind all of my struggles to find home jobs instead of a regular job is that of my son's health concern. That's why I have to be a full-time and hands-on mom for him.

Late March 2011, my youngest son suffered from a repeated fever, cough and colds. So I decided to have a check up after a week(which was not right and having 2-3days of fever should see a doctor immediately). After physical check-up and lab test results, the doctor diagnosed bronco. With medications given like anti-bacterial and meds given for a week, and under observation but not yet admitted in the hospital. So, after a  week, nothing has changed and for a month, my son had taken three kinds of antibacterials, more dosage, much expensive.

So, we as parents, panicked and so much afraid asking what was really going on with him. He's getting thinner and loosing much more of his appetite. He doesn't play anymore and all he just do is lie on his bed. We consulted different pedia just for my son to get well. Imagine, a 2 yr.old boy suffering from an unknown disease.

The x-ray results states that he has water in lungs or in medical terms as pleural effusion. His pedia, Ma. Theresa A. Cruz,M.D. Pediatrician,DPPS recommends us to consult a pulmonary pedia whom is expert for of children's lungs. So, we decided to consult the experts in Philippine Children's Medical Center, located at Quezon Ave.,Quezon City. And finally, thanks to Dr. Carren-Anne P. Batalla,M.D. Pediatrics for the final conclusion( although with the help also of a lot of experts), my son having PCAP or Primary Koch's Infection simply known as Primary Complex/TB for children. Medications for 6 months was given and follow-up checks ups to be done for the next months.

As of now, my son has finished the race(6 months medication) and the last x-ray result was cleared. Yet the pedia says there is still a chance that the virus may attack if my son's infected again. I'll just have to take good extra care of my son.

Prevention for Primary Complex:

In much of the world, the only method available to prevent tuberculosis in children is administration of a bacille Calmett-GuĂ©rin (BCG) vaccine. The BCG vaccines have never been used in the United States and, currently, only one type is available that is difficult to administer and of dubious efficacy. When considering the total body of literature of BCG vaccination of children, the general conclusion is that the BCG vaccines prevent 60 to 90% of serious tuberculosis cases in children.[107,108] Clearly, the BCG vaccines are better than no method of prevention, but they are not capable of completely preventing tuberculosis disease in a population of children. BCG vaccination has worked better in some situations than others. In the United States, the presence of HIV infection in the child is an absolute contraindication to giving BCG vaccine; internationally, the presence of asymptomatic HIV infection is not considered a contraindication to BCG vaccination.

Dysmenorrhea:Pains We Suffer

I was having chat with my sister last night, I shared her about the good news I've had for the past days about my blogging course lessons and how my teacher interacts and corresponds with me positively. She was also happy about it yet quite not visible with her aura. What's wrong about her?

She was suffering a pain below her stomach. Oh, I see! Dysmenorrhea attacks! So she ask me how to cope up with the pain. Brilliant! I have to discuss about it in my blog and thanks to my sisiter.

Anyways, way back before when I was in grade school, since then I also suffer dysmenorrhea not until when I got pregnant. When I was in high school, I was a regular visitor in the clinic every month for heavy pains attacks. I almost got fainted despite my preparations when periods arrive. When times comes I felt cold inside me, yet the air breeze are warm, when my hands are almost bloodless, I knew then that I have to go to the clinic to take some rest and a warm compress which was helpful at that time.

Now, I don't even suffer that much at all. But I wonder what was really the cause of it? Is it really true that when you get pregnant, it will eventually fade away? Albeit, it really stops since I got pregnant.

So to answer our questions, here's a link Dysmenorrhea:Wikipedia

Moms Against Cervical Cancer

This is one of my fears. It's like I don't want to think of this situation not just for myself but for my children especially. As a mom, we usually set aside our own health for the reason that we are so much occupied for our family's concerns yet at the back of our mind we are afraid to left them behind.

Sometimes I realized, I should set a time to pay attention with my own health. Maybe go to an OB for a check up, but just thinking of the amount I have to spend, I backed out thinking that its much more needed by the family rather than just by me. But I did take the risk. Of what? My FUTURE.

What if, in the end I am diagnosed with cervical cancer? Whom am I to blame? It's me, for the reason that I set aside the chance taking extra good care of myself also.

So, to help my fellow moms who wants to see for a free check up, I've researched my area to find out. Just see the link below to look for in your area if free check-ups are also available.

Cervical cancer is a disease that affects the cervix in the female reproductive system. The cervix is the lower portion of the uterus that connects the upper vagina to the uterus. It is about two inches in length. During childbirth, the cervix dilates, allowing the baby to travel from the uterus to the vagina.

What are the Symptoms of Cervical Cancer?

In the early stages of cervical cancer, there usually are no symptoms. Cervical cancer symptoms begin to appear as the disease advances, invading deeper into the cervix and surrounding tissue. As the disease progresses, women may experience:
  • abnormal vaginal bleeding, including post-coital bleeding
  • pain during sexual intercourse, however this can be common and unrelated to cervical cancer
  • pelvic pain
  • heavy vaginal discharge
For more info about free screenings, visit the site of Department of Health, Free Pap Smear, or even the nearest Health Centers in your area. Hope this could help us.

P.S.
I'm gonna have my check up, ASAP.

Single Mom

Sometimes there are reasons why women chooses to be single raising their children by themselves. But whatever the reason is, still do we understand what they've really going through? It's quite so hard to raise children by your own, financially, emotionally, socially. But how do we help them anyway?

Single Mom Book
When I had my first child, I was by my own but not alone. Thanks to my family that I did survive with the help of my friends. And I would like to credit them the big help they've gave us.So to those single moms out there or just you knowing someone's in that shoes, just support them instead of blaming and putting them down. We'll never know whom they're carrying, maybe the future president of the Philippines. Why not?

So, to all single moms or even dads out there, I've researched about  non-government bodies to help single parents to raise their children but instead what I've found out is that our own government had all the benefits for single parents especially for their children of course considering that you are really single parents. Just visit the site to know more about the benefit.

SINGLE PARENT LAW in PHILIPPINES

Republic Act No. 8972 or the “Solo Parents’ Welfare Act of 2000”is the Philippine law on single parents. It was promulgated on November 7, 2000.

The law provides comprehensive program of services for solo parents and their children to be carried out by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the Department of Health (DOH), the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS), the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the National Housing Authority (NHA), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and other related government and non-government agencies. A Mother's Story

I love my parents.
Hmmm.... It's just really that mother's are superwoman. We grab every opportunity that comes especially when we see it as the answers to all our needs yet still the fact remains as we(moms) still cannot control things in our hand. We may do almost everything just for our family, courageous to face consequences, sacrifice and  struggles amidst our way just for our loved ones. Love-spoken is not enough says Albert Martinez in Nasaan ka Elisa. Blessed be our mothers.

About the Movie
Medy (Pokwang), a make-up artist, was given the chance of a lifetime to accompany a concert star to the United States for a performance.  She promised her family that she will return after a week.  However, while in America, she stumbled upon a former classmate Helen (Beth Tamayo) who convinced her to stay for good in the land of milk and honey.  She initially refused, but eventually gave in, when she got a call one night from her husband that they need a big amount of money to bring her youngest daughter to the hospital.  America has not been the friendliest to her and our story begins with her coming home to Manila literally with nothing.

Medy’s two kids, King (Rayver Cruz) and Queenie (Xyriel Manabat) are now 19 and 7.  King struggles with the return of his mother.  Animosity, resentment, shame, and anger are issues he has built with Medy.  For the young Queenie, it’s getting to know Nanay… who she thought would one day come out of a Balikbayan Box.  And as for her husband, Medy discovers something she least expected.

How will Medy put her life and that of her family’s back together, now that she’s back after 7 long years?

Living Together Relationships

Live-in relationships or arrangements are mostly common nowadays in which an unmarried couple lives together in a long-term relationships equally as married ones.

The question is: Do both parties knows their own rights? I was once in a situation where I am questioned being a 'wife' legally, and whew! It was like I  was blown some icy cold water. Yeah, right? I was so confident thinking that albeit the fact that we are not married, still I believe I hold the rights as a 'wife'.

But that was just I believe. It does matter that we know our rights even if we are not legally tied with our partners. So I want to share recently revised laws here in the Philippines for live-in partners or common-law marriage.

Art. 147. When a man and a woman who are capacitated to marry each other, live exclusively with each other as husband and wife without the benefit of marriage or under a void marriage, their wages and salaries shall be owned by them in equal shares and the property acquired by both of them through their work or industry shall be governed by the rules on co-ownership.

Art. 148. In cases of cohabitation not falling under the preceding Article, only the properties acquired by both of the parties through their actual joint contribution of money, property, or industry shall be owned by them in common in proportion to their respective contributions. In the absence of proof to the contrary, their contributions and corresponding shares are presumed to be equal. The same rule and presumption shall apply to joint deposits of money and evidences of credit.

To read the whole article about these laws, just click here  Common-law Marriage( Live-in Relationships)

I would also like to share this law with regards to women and their children.

AN ACT DEFINING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN, PROVIDING FOR PROTECTIVE MEASURES FOR VICTIMS, PRESCRIBING PENALTIES THEREFORE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Sec. 3. Definition of Terms.- As used in this Act:
(e) "Dating relationship" refers to a situation wherein the parties live as husband and wife without the benefit of marriage or are romantically involved over time and on a continuing basis during the course of the relationship. A casual acquaintance or ordinary socialization between two individuals in a business or social context is not a dating relationship.

3 Ways To Pamper Myself

Mother's unconditional love to her family is never to be compared to any kind of love in this world. The first to wake up in the morning and yet the last to go to bed at night. She checks everything to be fine. She thinks of her family needs without even realizing what's for her.

Being a mom, if we take good care of our family, it is also our responsibility that we should also take better care for ourselves. It's not being selfish if we should also pamper ourselves and put things behind our back for the meantime.

So, I suggest things I planned to do when I decided to take a 'rest day'.

me
1. Look in the mirror - When is the last time I had a hairstyle? When was it last hair dyed? When I decided to color my hair and got it perfect as I wanted to be; brown and bob cut, it boosted my self-confidence and self- esteem. Have a bonus of manicure and pedicure also.

2. Try to go shopping - Of course, as a mom, we used to hold budgets so we know how we can spend for a particular stuff. Just buy a new underwear even those cheap ones. i know from experience, it also made me feel better.
me and my friends

3. Go out with friends - I know its not selfish for us to sometimes enjoy, relaxed and go chat with our friends. Why not go to a place where good food and best music are serve. Let's just also try to hear other voices aside from listening to our children's utters, our husband's demand or our neighbor's chats.

So, these are my ways to pamper myself. Albeit, I'm just going to do this one thing at a time. :)

Me, My Other Half and Her

This is a very personal experience. Although it’s quite hard for me to share but I just want everybody to see and learn how has just a woman react when an invader comes between your other half and you. I don’t intentionally disgrace or blame any person that might be in this kind of situation.
Last year was such a trial year for me and my family. On the mid of March, my youngest son got sick and was diagnosed having pneumonia and primary complex. It was so hard for us cause it took a month and a lot of money for us to know what exactly was the illness of my son. Anyway, that’s a different story.
It was June when I observed that something is happening with my other half. But I just ignore it or rather ‘justified’ it. My other half found out that he has a case(let’s just leave it as the case) filed against him aside from the fact that we’re into my son’s medication problem. So as days past, I realize that ‘something’ is happening with him. He’s changing a lot, he used to kiss me goodbye, but lately he almost forgets about it. He don’t used to get a bath everyday even when there’s a plan to go mingle with friends, but he does it almost everyday. He’s a home buddy but not anymore, he mingles with friends every night and when he’s at home we barely talk for he’s more focused on his cellphone. But it was justified by my so called ‘understanding’. But not until when I called him and it was someone who answered saying “Don’t bother calling him anymore. hahaha”. Beeps. What? I was so shocked and haven’t spoke out any word at all. So I called him again and just picked up the phone after an hour of dialling. So it was a fight. Until he got home and only a word sank into my mind;’ find an evidence’. So the next days I became a spy looking for evidences to prove ‘something’. And gotcha! The girl who annoyed and put words against me on facebook and the girl behind my other half’s changing attitude is the same.
My world has vanished, I was betrayed. I am betrayed. Its feels numb at first but not until its sinks. And the pain goes deeper. I cried a lot, I was hurted a lot. I open the situation with him just through cellphone for I cannot spoke with him personally. Was that the right move? But that was just the right thing I thought to be the best to have conversation with him. He decided to broke up with me not thinking that we have two little boys and that we still live together in the house. Can u imagine the situation? Yes, I still do the household chores, still do my responsibilities as a mother and a wife(although we’re not married). But that was the most rainy days I have. Until the day came for me and my children to go home.
Now, everything is turning into right places. He flew from Manila to here. And what was that? What will I do? What should I do?Sometimes, there are decisions we're not sure if it was the right thing to do. I'll just hope that the Lord God will guide me and my family for whatever my decisions would be.
